Baby It's Cold Outside

The best part about blizzards in the Northeast is having a snow day at home!

Children especially love it, and it can be very fun for adults too.

Hot cocoa, fires in the fireplace, staring out the window, and maybe even sitting down with a good book.

I am so thankful when it all works out this way. There is so much going on outside, blowing snow, accumulating drifts, white outs, but it’s all so silent and quite peaceful.

If we are really lucky, maybe we can view a herd of deer working their way through the woods trying to find their well traveled path, stopping along the way for some greenery, or berries.
What a treat!

Yes, afternoon snow storms are well worth weathering!

Cute deer shots. They really stand out against all that snow.

Amazing moments, it's an honour to be able to capture these cute and shy animals from a relative short distance. I love the first photo with the tongue of the deer.
